Knox has had his fair share of ups and downs in his short career. He has proven he can make the impossible play yet struggles with the routine ones often. In his two seasons in Buffalo, he has only accounted for five total touchdowns and over six hundred yards. Yet here we are, getting ready for the start of the new season, and I am very optimistic that Knox can reach those numbers this season alone.
Knox is entering his third NFL season, which is usually a final make or break year for most players. Knox would have one more year left on his deal with a very low Dead Cap hit if he was released next year. So he has everything to play for this season. He will have another year under his belt with Josh Allen and is the most senior tight end on the roster at this time.
Throw in a trip to Tight End camp over the offseason, and I believe we will see that Knox has found his own and will have himself a breakout season in 2021. He may not hit the six hundred-yard-plus mark, but I think the five touchdown mark is well in range, and Knox may very well become a red zone target for Allen this season.
